Dr. Nicole Scott has over 20 years of experience in Organizational Development, Education, Grant Management and Training and Development and has a passion for lifelong learning. She has experience working in workforce development, higher education, and rural and urban settings with student populations from early childhood to post-secondary. Within these 20 years, Dr. Scott has served in a number of roles such as: Director of Educational Program and Grant Development, Director of Grants, Special Education Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Fiscal Manager, Federal Grants Director, Testing Director, Staff Developer, and Educational Consultant.
Dr. Scott has co-managed human resource operations including human capital policies, employee evaluation processes, and fiscal management. She has also managed resources for various state and federal grants and other grant responsibilities including fiscal, material, personnel, technology and equipment, and support services. Dr. Scott has facilitated trainings for school staff, non-profit organizations as necessary and supervised all tasks as it pertains to state and federal funding, state assessments, and the academic achievement of all students.
Dr. Scott’s areas of expertise include parental involvement, workforce development, curriculum and instruction, design and evaluation of training and development, federal and state programs, organizational and leadership development, system change efforts and school improvement planning, and strategies to successfully lead school reform including dealing with the emotions and anxiety associated with change.
Dr. Scott received her B.S.W. from Florida State University, M.Ed. in Counseling from Wilmington University, and her Ed.D in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Human Resources from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Scott completed her dissertation at Nova Southeastern University, which is entitled: "Exploring Experiences of African American Parents at a Predominately Caucasian Staffed School".
